Louisville Grows: Ellie Davenport's Fundraiser

For almost five years, I’ve had the joy of working with Louisville Grows and seeing firsthand how planting trees and growing food can transform lives and neighborhoods. What inspires me most is the hope that comes with every seedling, every tree, and every community garden bed we help create.

Louisville Grows’ work is about more than trees and plants—it’s about resilience, health, and connection. By restoring the tree canopy in vulnerable neighborhoods, we’re cooling our city, improving air quality, and empowering residents to build a greener, healthier future. Through our Seeds & Starts sales, neighbors access affordable plants to grow their own food—nourishing families while also supporting community gardens and orchards across Louisville.

This mission is deeply personal to me. I believe in the power of planting hope, and I’ve witnessed the impact it brings—from a shaded street to a child pulling their first carrot from the soil.
