Everyone Deserves a Home!

In the fall of 2022, I knew I needed a change. More than anything, I wanted to work somewhere that was truly making a difference for people who needed help the most.

Almost three years later, I feel incredibly fortunate to serve as Development Director at the Coalition for the Homeless. In this role, I’ve not only learned about the crisis of homelessness in our city, but I’ve also seen what it really looks like up close. It’s not just individuals on the street, it’s families, just like mine, with young children and nowhere safe to call home. That reality has changed the way I view this work and deepened my conviction that housing is a fundamental human right.

The challenges we face are immense with rents that keep rising, too few shelter beds, harmful legislation, and a severe shortage of affordable housing. But even against those odds, I watch our team show up every single day with compassion, grit, and determination. We continue helping those in crisis right now, while fighting for long-term solutions so everyone in our city has the stability of a home.
