This organization means so much to me, and has allowed me to grow so much both personally and professionally. I began with The Food Literacy Project at 16 years old as a member of The Youth Community Agriculture Program (YCAP) crew. There I learned about the concept of Food Justice, and Food Security.
The Food Literacy Project supported my passion for food and helped me to decide to go to Johnson & Wales University to pursue a degree in Culinary Nutrition.
When I needed to complete my senior year internship, I came to the farm again, in 2021, where I helped to culivate a new Youth Community Agriculture Crew and learn more about this non-profit I care so much about.
After completing my undergrad degree I was asked to join the Board of Directors where I have been a member for the past 3 years, I still work in Food Justice and Food Security as a nutrition Educator for the Kentucky WIC program, and am still very involved with this organization. I am now pursuing a masters degree in Sustainable Food Systems from Arizona State University.
Please join me in supporting this non-profit that is so close to my heart. I will also match donations given up $500. Thank you so much.
