On Thursday, September 18th, Lifehouse Maternity Home, an organization very dear to my heart, will participate in Give for Good Louisville. Lifehouse is a small but mighty organization that helps pregnant and parenting women in crisis.
This year, Lifehouse is working to raise $35,000 to launch BrightLife, a vital family support program. Right now, many of the moms don't have vehicles, so they rely on public buses. They walk with their children in strollers to board a bus, ride to daycare, then board another bus to get to school or work. Morning commutes may take well over an hour. On rainy or cold days, the trip becomes even more difficult.
I am reaching out to ask you to join me in supporting Lifehouse and the work that they do for these women and babies. Here's how you can help:
- Please make a donation through the secure Donate Link on Thursday.
- Join my team by clicking the link above and help me share this message so more people will learn about the amazing work Lifehouse is doing. (You can learn more below)
Thank you!
Meg
Lifehouse: Breaking Cycles and Building Futures
Many of the women who turn to Lifehouse arrive with stories marked by abuse, addiction, or homelessness. Many have endured human trafficking or grapple with mental health challenges. Facing pregnancy in the midst of such struggles often leaves them feeling lost and alone.
Lifehouse is a safe haven where women can heal, grow, and discover hope for the future. Through a three-part program, residents are guided step by step—from pregnancy and childbirth to infancy and toddlerhood. Along the way, they gain vital life skills, learn to build healthy relationships, and prepare for independence.
Mothers and their babies can stay at Lifehouse for up to four years, giving them time to truly heal, continue their education, find meaningful work, and save for the future. This is more than a program – it’s a Lifepath to lasting success.
With your support, young women across our community can break free from cycles of adversity and dependency, embracing a future built on love, strength, and possibility. This is a program designed to set women and their families up for a Lifetime of success. And in turn, it helps build stronger communities.
Our goal is to raise $35,000 through this single-day event. Since Lifehouse receives no government funding, we rely exclusively on donations, grants, and fundraising events such as this. Your support will help young women locally and from around the region find the strength to break the cycle of adversity and social service dependency and embrace a future guided by love.
Every Woman Deserves a Chance to Rewrite her Story
Every woman deserves a chance to rewrite her story, and every child deserves to be born into a loving, stable home. By supporting Lifehouse, you are investing in more than just immediate care — you are helping provide faith-driven transformation and the enduring promise of hope.
We deeply appreciate your support.
